Newly elected IACA President Glenn Bird has jumped into the role with both feet, speaking with urban development professionals about the importance of engaging an arboriculturist at an early stage of development, and throughout the process to identify opportunities and constraints and proactively manage trees on development sites. UDIA generously provided a stall which was staffed by IACA volunteers, Accredited member and newly elected Vice President 2, Ben Kenyon, and Associate member, Matthew Reed, along with Glenn, representing the Institute of Australian Consulting Arboriculturists.
The other executive committee members and general membership of IACA would like to thank UDIA and the IACA members who attended, for their contribution to raising awareness of the role of consulting arborists in the development process.
